TEHRAN (FNA)- Representatives of Azeri oil companies are in talks with Iran for construction and repairing of Single buoy moorings (SBMs).
Attending an energy exhibition in Iran's Kish Island in Persian Gulf waters, the Azeri companies said they are prepared to cooperate with Iran's National Iranian Oil Terminals Company (NIOTC) for construction and repairmen of SBMs.
They said NIOTC's skills in maintaining SBMs in Assaluyeh, Kharg and Bahregansar regions have prompted petroleum companies in Azerbaijan to bid for cooperating with NIOTC to carry out related projects.
A Single buoy mooring (SBM) (also known as single-point mooring or SPM) is a loading buoy anchored offshore, that serves as a mooring point and interconnect for tankers loading or offloading gas or liquid products. SPMs are the link between geostatic subsea manifold connections and weathervaning tankers.
